Idea born

Today is 15 th Nov 2015...  An idea was born and it has started taking shape... This is one day which I am going to look back too few years down the line... 

I am back... Life :)

I was in my own little world,
Happy ,contended and all secure,
Good or bad things happened everday,
This made me stronger to live the next day...

Then one day the world crumbled down,
Imagination /expectations all flew out...
Wanted to live no more...
Where did the happy and contended girl go???

There is no one ,my friend...
Who will be with you till the end...
You have to learn the bitter truth someday...
Educating you all , today is that day...

Live your life to the fullest,
Dont care what others says...
Do what you think and feel is right...
Because you have only one precious life :)

Me,TV aur Family...

Ok in this post I am going to write about my observations on ME, TV aur Family i.e. viewing any specific program with your family members.
I don’t know about others but in my case whenever there is any gross scene on TV like an UGLY looking Alien or Vampires or Anaconda it is a rule that my mom has to pass by...and then she starts “how can you watch such a thing ...it’s so gross...you are a girl...how can you watch so much violence”!!! And then there are cases too when your parents join you to watch the TV and at that precise moment there is a scene of people kissing each other (and it will not be any ordinary kissing scene... Kissing till the other person chokes to death) and you are squirming and start hopelessly searching for the remote control and by the time you find the remote, the scene is over and you are thanking the lords...
Whenever my brother is around its only sports channel ... I hate circket and cant stand Soccer (my brother eats,drinks and sleeps Soccer) so u can image my plight... Its only during Formula 1 or if a good movies is going on that we watch TV together.My Dad is a fan of News Channel (there are so many news channel these days and if that is not enough he likes Aastha channel too) So if there is no news then its Aastha...My mom is fan of Surya channel and ETV Marathi... she has also fixed her timings ie between 7.00 pm to 8.30pm no one should ask for the remote :-(
But I have observed it can be great fun to watch movies with the people you know for example when my old neighbour aunty comes around (she doesn’t understand Hindi) she would be like what happened what did the hero say ..why is she crying.... and we would tell her the meaning of each scene .Also whenever any fight scene would start i couldn’t stop giggling ie bcos my aunty would make noise be like woa woa and say "why r they hitting him ...its so painful... "
Also I enjoy the comments my mom passes... to day I was deeply engrossed in a program wherein they were giving a plain jane a makeover and doling out tips so that we, the viewers could look fab and groomed for an evening party... The beauty therapist(BT) was explaining the procedure whereas her assistant was applying the goo on the girl... tumcha dole “aprateem” dishnaaara...smoky look... nasheeleeeeeee ...these terms were repeated by the BT again and again ...my mom got so fed up she sniped“if they really want nasheele eyes then why don’t they make her drink ...there is not need to apply all this junk... And when finally the make over was complete the poor girl was a perfect example of how-not-to-look, my mom promptly pointed out that she looks like a witch, which I have to agree she did.

College Days...

Few days back I was watching the movies Never Been Kissed...wherein the female lead whose first assignment as a undercover reporter leads her to a college...posing as a student. Watching the film I was drifted back to my college life...those days when life was about friends ,bunking lectures, ragging, canteen, CRUSHES, borrowing notes , blacklist ,ATKT, imitating professors, Rose Day ,movies, college festival ,trekking, picnics , birthday treats, EXAMS ie covering the entire syllabus one day before the exam by preparing till 2.am and many more...
In this post m describing the college life . It is during college days that we interact with so many people ...wherein we are no longer protected by our school teacher nor parents... where time and again we act cool (there is no one as cool as we are :-)...act as if we are grownup... Each and every person feels they are being watched ... and being COOL is a necessity...which sometimes goes to an extent of showoff...

College life is not complete unless u follow the below mentioned conditions

a)Bunking lectures: This is the most basic condition...it is as necessary as breathing...Ther have also been instances of Mass bunking wherein only the professor is present...hehehehe however some may like to differ. Ok let me explain...so there are basically 3 types of student in general ...first-the bunking types...second- the furniture of the class type and the third type being a cusp between the first and second type..... I place myself as the third type... however on second thoughts I was much more of furniture of the class types.{ie bcos on the last day (class packed with students for extra notes) my professor made 4-5 students (one being me) stand in front of the entire class claiming these were the loyal students who never missed any of her lectures for the entire year} I felt so uncool... reminded me of the dettol advertisement 100%attandence.........

b)Paying daily visit to the Canteen/roaming in the college Campus: This is the most common place you go to once you complete condition 1. It is sometimes believed more time is spent in the canteen or campus than the classroom... and sharing samosa , sandwich, cutting chai, Chinese...last but not the least cold drink is a very common sight..and there are some place or generally knows as ADDA wherein the particular groups meet if canteen is packed...

c)Gossip/Pranks/Celebrating Days: aare did u know A aur B ka affair hai......tujhe pata hai iska break up hua..eeeeeeeeeeeee what is she/he wearing....aaj class mein aaysa hua....iska aur uska fighting hua... these are just few of the examples of gossip... Really enjoyed it throughly...Keeping pet names or names so that we can talk about the person and poor things wont be aware they are being discussed...example
1 Jersey ...bcos he always wears Jersey to college
2Barbie...bcos she is so plastic
3Astronuat ...bcos he wears a silver colour windcheater
4Zulfi... bcos he has shiny silky hair
5 matching centre bcos she is dressed right from head to toe in same colour
6 SK/DA etc short form for a name
Playing pranks on friends is also one of the conditions to be fulfilled.

d)Blacklist/ATKT/Exams:It is during these days that god is most remembered and bribed. The excitement generated when the blacklist or ATKT list is put on the notice board is just unbelievable... And nothing can compete the tension and buzz whenever exams are around... covering the entire syllabus one day before the exam by preparing till 2.am...last minute studying until the teachers pulls the books from ur hand... all of them looking at the person who has taken the first supplement or the most number of supplements and then u wondering if u r writing the correct answers... My hair stands out thinking about all this....and then day the results are out ...there is this buzzzzzzzzzzzz “itna KT mila” “mein pass hogaye without any KT”...”itna kaam marks...jaroor professor ne wife ke saath jagada karke mera paper check kiya” “aare mein jisse copy kiya woh fail ho gaya aur mein pass”...

e)Freak out with friends :When we are with friends College life is one big party ...carefree... wherein you enjoy ur life to the fullest...going to a PUB ,movie,shopping,birthday treats,picnics ,treks in the rain,going for drive in ur friend’s (parent) car (usually showoff types do that)

f)Your eyes looking out for that one person bcos of who u long to go to college ;-) in short ur CRUSH ( i agree this point should be in top three)
Well i don’t think there would be a person who has never not gone thorugh this stage...and in case if there is any...they are no human...It is basically during this time the attitude of people change ...some become mild...some shy...some start writing poems (i was a poetess for a brief duration too:-)


g)And of course Study: aab mein aage kya boluuuu ...u people are smart enough...

Well the above mentioned are basics conditions...All my readers are invited to add on their view/incidents about college life...

Valentine's day

Ok so there is this buzz in the air .... only one thing you can hear these days...valentine this and valentine that...
So what exactly happens on valentine's day... you tell your loved ones that you love them so much... spending the so called quality time with them ...then you exchange presents...go out for lunch/dinner...this year Valentines falls on saturday ...my colleagues are planning to celebrate it from Friday evening to Sunday night (must say a weekend longgg valentine) talk about love all day and the list goes on...........
According to me Valentine should not be a one day or a weekend thing...it should be continuous ... that is what I think...I know giving gifts and spending the so called quality time everyday... its not possible at all times(recession and stuff)... but its not impossible... also instead of giving importance to one day I think all days should be treated impartially and not just 14 th Feb...

6 things about our childhood adventure

Now that Sen has tagged me...well m writing about 6 things about our childhood ...

1)When we were kids mom used to usually treat us with home made ice cream...well she even does now (my mom is so cool even today she distributes ice cream in such a way that each one of us think we are given more than other ...hehehehe) so one day my elder sister said lets have a contest ... lets see who finishes the ice cream the fastest (wherein the person who comes first will be peacock ,second Koyal and the last one will be crow) ... my younger brother being in a real competitive spirit became peacock ...then me Koyal... We look at my sister who is nicely licking at the spoon and her plate was full of ice cream (in short woh humko jala jala kar kha rahe thi )...both me and my brother looked at her and her plate (full with ice cream) and each other and complained ... two things we learned that day ... no competition between siblings and second being the eldest has its disadvantages too... mom scolded my sister and gave me and my bro second helping of ice cream hehehehe...

2)When Dad brought our first oven ,my mom used to bake cakes ... lots of cakes... one day my brother kept asking for more and more pieces of cake ,mom was glowing with pride ("my son loves the cakes which I have baked "-mom thinking) and then he said it...."aapka cake crow logoko bahut aacha laga"... it was later we realised that he distributed the cakes to the crows and needed more pieces as there were more crows to feed...

3)We loved our magic plate... it had properties of cooling tea/milk in less time ...my sister was the one who was most obsessed with the magic plate ...it was much much later we realised that mom had coined the term magic plate so that we would drink our tea/milk without creating any scene or any fuss...

4)Well the event which I am writing now used to occur every twice a year (without fail) i.e when we were in school...I was good in drawing also I was (actually still am )very early sleeper and just before I would go to sleep my brother would come to me saying "Akka ,will u do some drawings and complete my drawing book for me?I have my exams".(that is the only time he used to call me akka).I would say sure i would do it tomorrow and he would say tomorrow 5th and -6th (ie around 10.30 am) period is my drawing exam.So i would be awake till 1. 00 am painting rainy day / Independence day/Ganesh Chaturthi /Diwali etc etc and yelling at my brother at the same time...

5)Every summer holiday we used to take out Kitchen set and cook actual food ... well it would be disaster cooking i.e imagine 8-9 yr old girls cooking along with their barbie toys ...we used to take 3 bricks and make a stove and adjust and cook ...it was so much fun...once even I took part...I was only 5 yrs old then I made RASNA (I was not allowed to use fire) ...By the time Sen and all completed their cooking .... I had already boiled my Rasna (as a fly had been swimming in it as I did not cover it)

6)When I was a kid I was a Home technical device disaster...I mean whatever I touched would stop working .Radio ,video,video games were the most frequent tools which would stop working as soon as I touched...however now things have changed ...Nowadays I (try to) fix the printer in my office without bothering the IT support .I have learnt solution to any PC or technical problem is restart your PC :-)...

Ms LM has shifted...

I am staring hard at my desktop...but out of the corner of my eye I can see them coming my way...but still I act like am engrossed in my work and am not paying any attention to them ...and then it happened ..."where are Ms LM and Ms AF? "...I look at them and say they have shifted next to the utlities room... over there (pointing at utilities room )... they say "Ohhhhhhhhhhh is it ?" and they are gone....
That was the 100th time I have repeated the same sentence in past 7-8 days...
Ms LM works in Admin and she is the sole incharge of disturbuting food coupons ...
Earlier we used to share the same bay (ie Admin and Nostro)...however 7-8 days back they moved to new bay leaving me to answer to all those poor souls with "No coupons no Food " look in their eyes...
The day they moved I was taken aback when a guy asked me for food coupons..."Do I look like a person from Admin?" I thought (but then its not his fault I dont have any board which says m not in ADMIN ...mayb he thought m in admin as we share the same bay) ... but then I told him politely "They have shifted next to the utlities room... over there" (pointing at utilities room )

Since that day I have been answering all the people with "No coupons no Food " look they have shifted next to the utlities room... over there (pointing at utilities room )
I even tried few techniques like staring at the pc so that they don't come near me, sometimes getting up from my place or getting engrossed in reading some hardcopies of some files I dont need in first place or acting like I have not seen or heard them ... I even told Ms LM to send a general e-mail to all the people in the floor (we have around 900 people working in our floor) about them moving to a new bay (but she didnt send one ...I dont know why)
The people with "No coupons no Food " look would think its my duty to reply them and would go without saying thank u or anything ... those good souls who did I used to sliently say (taraki karoge)
When I am not around the same procedure was followed with our other team members ...we were really bugged ...somtimes i really enjoyed it though ...we would look at the people walk all the way 4-5 bays ahead/back us 2-3 times before coming to us asking for Ms LM... or use terms like aur ek bakara/bhatki aa gaya ... My manager used to pull our legs by saying why dont u guys actually take the responsibilty of disturbuting Food coupons and laugh at his own PJ(POOR JOKE)
And then one day I had it ...this guy came and asked for Ms.LM I replied him politely and the next moment I started working on something...my colleague saw what I was doing started laughing ...she said "u cant b serious ... this is not ur job"... but I had no option took a print out and pasted the printout on Ms LM ex-WS(work station)...the print out in BIG BOLD letters read
"Dear All,
Ms LM and Ms AF have shifted to near WS no 000 near the utlilites room"
The printout looked good and I was proud of it ...to add more art to it my colleague TS even drew an arrow pointing the utlitlies room (i felt so good i was tempted to write Script by DIV Art by TS ) ...and now we were waiting for some one to come ....pls come and read it ... but no one came (same thing happens when u need an auto u will never find one and when u dont need any 10-12 will be dancing in front of u) and then he came ...looked around saw my printout and went staright to Ms LM....we were thrilled "Mission Accomplished"... we all said Taraki karoge (to the guy silently)
So when we all were in our good mood ,a batch of 2-3 more people came ...read the printout ...we were all beaming with pride ...she looked at me asked "where is the Utlilites room?"

As for me I had no option but to say "They have shifted next to the utlities room... over there" (pointing at utilities room )
